Sunway university is offering generous tuition fee waiver/ studentships to PhD students. Based on the recent applications processed, below is the criteria for our PhD tuition fee waiver and scholarships  applications. Since a PhD application may take up several weeks/ months and requires much effort put forth from prospective supervisors, you may advise the applicants accordingly if the following criteria are not fulfilled. Application deadline in 2019

• March 11
• May 13
• August 19 (For local students only)
• September 9
• November 11

Sunway University PhD tuition fee waiver

100% waiver: (CGPA ≥ 3.25)

50% waiver: (CGPA < 3.25)

If CGPA is not given (e.g., research-based Master’s), at least one SCOPUS indexed output is required.

Sunway University PhD Scholarships (with living stipend RM3,000 per month)

For Sunway graduates, there are two criteria:

• CGPA ≥ 3.25
• at least one SCOPUS indexed output

For Non-Sunway graduates, there are two three criteria:

• Graduate of a global top 600 university (QS or THE)
• CGPA ≥ 3.25
• at least two SCOPUS indexed outputs
